Welcome to Genea
Over the past two years we have undertaken a comprehensive review that has culminated in us changing our name to more accurately reflect who we are and what we do. We are not geographically limited to Sydney, and our offerings are increasingly wider than IVF alone.
Our review showed that the extent of our leadership in fertility was not being fully communicated. Sydney IVF has led the way in fertility not only in Australia, but worldwide, since 1985.
We virtually doubled success rates in the 1990s. We developed technology and equipment used in more than 600 clinics worldwide. We continue to undertake vastly more research than any other clinic in Australia and to make advances that continue to improve outcomes for our patients.
For example, we are now the most successful Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis clinic in the world, offering testing for more than 170 chromosome and genetic conditions. We have been world leaders in fertility for more than 25 years and we felt it was time to communicate this clearly.
The combination of these factors has led us to rename and relaunch ourselves as Genea – World leaders in fertility.
Genea has origins in ancient Greek, where medical and ethical principles that still guide us today were founded. Genea also means family. That was important to us and more accurately reflects to you our goals and our commitment to providing our patients with the certainty that they could find no better fertility science or care at any clinic, anywhere in the world.
Overall, almost 60 per cent of our patients – regardless of age – will have a baby and 90 per cent of these women will have a baby within three or less cycles of IVF. Of course, our results are even higher in younger patients.
We are completely committed to and extremely proud of our world leadership and as such we will continue to invest more in research than any other clinic in Australia.
