Prenatal Diagnosis
Success rate is the likelihood of obtaining a result from your sample.
Accuracy rate is a measure of how correct or accurate your test result is. Unfortunately, no medical testing is completely 100% accurate. Another way of representing a test's accuracy is the chance of a false positive (an abnormal result where there is no abnormality) or false negative (a normal result where there is an abnormality) result.
Miscarriage Risk rate reflects the chance, or risk, of an adverse outcome related to the sampling prodecure. Unfortunately, for chorionic villus and amniocentesis sampling there is a small risk for miscarriage following the procedure. This risk can be even smaller when performed by skilled and experienced specialists.
