Many couples, understandably, want to know what they can do to improve their chance of conceiving. Before jumping into fertility treatment, here at Genea we encourage you to consider ovulation tracking as a first step. It is after all a simple option that helps you understand your natural fertility and help you plan when to have sex to maximise the potential of getting pregnant.
Here at Genea, we can help you track your fertility with our three-cycle ovulation tracking system. To get started, all you need to do is have a quick consultation with our Fertility GP and then you’re on your way. Here’s how it works:
To make our service as convenient as possible, you can do this one of two ways:
They will advise you of the best day to visit a Genea clinic to have your first blood test.
You'll then receive a call to let you know whether you should have another blood test or have unprotected intercourse (it is common to have three initial blood tests to determine ovulation).
These usually rise after an egg has been released.
If your period does not arrive 16 days from the day of your ovulation we’ll have you come in for a pregnancy test.
* No-out-of-pocket consultation available for Medicare eligible patients. Appointments are available at our Sydney Kent Street Clinic.
Genea has been at the forefront of fertility treatment for 30 years and our expertise in helping people conceive extends far beyond just IVF. To help answer your questions on fertility and ovulation tracking, we have put together a collection of GENEAral information for you, including brochures, listings of your local tracking centres and more.
