Genea’s accredited doctors Dr Ray Hodgson and Dr Penny Black are available for your initial fertility investigations in Port Macquarie. If IVF treatment is required, your treatment will be coordinated through the Genea Newcastle clinic, where a Registered Nurse is available to provide ongoing support and guidance to couples during treatment. Expert fertility counselling can also be organised through Genea Newcastle at no cost as part of your IVF cycle and treatment.
Patients requiring donor gametes, surrogacy or pre-implantation diagnosis (PGD) will be required to have a consultation with one of the Fertility Specialists in Newcastle.
During an IVF Cycle, blood tests and follicle scans are conveniently done in Port Macquarie, with a trip to Newcastle only required on the day of the egg collection and embryo transfer procedures. Appointments for follicle scans in Port Macquarie can be made by calling 02 6584 5857, and blood tests are carried out at Laverty Pathology in Port Macquarie.
