Senior Embryologist

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Embryologist to join us on a permanent full time basis.

The role is responsible for performing all aspects of clinical embryology services and diagnostic procedures, inclusive of intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) and to maintain the lab to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manual handling of all gametes and embryos
• Perform as needed diagnostic andrology procedures; inclusive of sperm analysis and anti-sperm antibody testing
• Perform associated pre-implantation diagnosis (PGD) procedures inclusive of embryo hatching, embryo biopsy and tissue handling
• Participation in IQA/EQA programs as directed by your manager
• Accurately entering embryology data into relevant database for statistical analysis and accreditation purposes
• Discussing adverse events and near misses promptly with your manager, and reporting them through the Genea electronic reporting system
• Professionally and compassionately communicate with patients
• Participate in Genea IVF Satellite/Worldwide programs

About You

Ideal candidate will have:

• 4 years + experience working as an embryologist
• Fully trained in all processes and procedures involved with an IVF laboratory
• Degree in Biological Sciences
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
