The Role

We are seeking a Senior Embryologist to join us on a permanent full time basis.

The role is responsible for performing all aspects of clinical embryology services and diagnostic procedures, inclusive of intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) and to maintain the lab to a high standard.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manual handling of all gametes and embryos
  • Perform as needed diagnostic andrology procedures; inclusive of sperm analysis and anti-sperm antibody testing
  • Perform associated pre-implantation diagnosis (PGD) procedures inclusive of embryo hatching, embryo biopsy and tissue handling
  • Participation in IQA/EQA programs as directed by your manager
  • Accurately entering embryology data into relevant database for statistical analysis and accreditation purposes
  • Discussing adverse events and near misses promptly with your manager, and reporting them through the Genea electronic reporting system
  • Professionally and compassionately communicate with patients
  • Participate in Genea IVF Satellite/Worldwide programs

About You

Ideal candidate will have:

  • 4 years + experience working as an embryologist
  • Fully trained in all processes and procedures involved with an IVF laboratory
  • Degree in Biological Sciences
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Duties will include:

Collecting blood in appropriate tubes

Completing required paperwork/data entry for pathology tests

Performing blood collection with minimal discomfort to the patient

Using the daily treatment summary or patient management software to identify tests requested

Maintaining the blood collection rooms ensuring they are clean, tidy and restocked

Internal Auditor

Your role

Due to growth, we are seeking 2 x Internal Auditors to join our team. The role is a full-time position which will be split into two roles - one role will be 2 days per week and the other will be 3 days per week.

The role will be based in Kent St but covering & travelling to all Genea sites across the Sydney metropolitan area including interstate travel where required.

Reporting to the Risk, Quality and Compliance Manager, the role is responsible for performing internal audits to ensure safe, quality healthcare.

This role will work in collaboration with managers to ensure that all requirements are met and to coordinate any corrective action plans.

Duties include however not limited to:

  • Observational auditing of all Genea day surgeries including hand hygiene audits + laboratories, nursing and non-clinical areas of the business
  • Administer the audit program through the electronic databases and provide monthly reports of the audit outcomes and actions
  • Educating staff and promoting continuous improvement within the internal and external compliance frameworks

About You  

This role will suit someone who is self-motivated, able to prioritise and build strong stakeholder relationships.

The Role
