Biography

Dr Richard Murphy believes that when specialised help is needed to diagnose fertility challenges and determine a path to parenthood, the cornerstone is a trusting relationship with your Fertility Specialist. Richard draws on his extensive training and 25 years of experience in women’s health to ensure his patients are heard and met with empathy in an unrushed consultation environment.

Experience & Qualifications

Richard is a gynaecologist, obstetrician and fertility specialist who is experienced in providing the full range of care from preconception counselling, infertility treatment and management of recurrent miscarriage as well as obstetric care, both low and high risk.

Graduating from the University of Western Australia in 1996, Richard initially trained as a Rural and Remote Area General Practitioner where he gained experience in obstetrics, paediatrics and anaesthetics and worked in Kalgoorlie and Coolgardie. In 2010, Richard completed Specialist Obstetrics and Gynaecology training at King Edward Memorial Hospital in Perth including a Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine.

He provided comprehensive fertility services south of the river in Perth for more than 10 years before joining Genea Hollywood Fertility in 2021.
