Biography

Dr Sean Copson is an experienced specialist gynaecologist and advanced laparoscopic surgeon. Sean believes in a holistic approach to fertility treatment and is committed to providing quality and individualised care to his patients. His keen interest, expertise and proactiveness in managing conditions that can impact fertility, such as endometriosis and fibroids with minimally invasive surgical approaches ensures his patients fertility outcomes are optimised.  

Experience & Qualifications

Sean Copson grew up locally and studied Medicine at the University of Western Australia before being awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Sean completed an AGES Accredited Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery with the Endoscopy Unit at King Edward Memorial Hospital. He works publicly as a Specialist Gynaecologist at King Edward Memorial Hospital, and in the private sector through his rooms in West Perth.

Sean is committed to training the next generation of surgeons through facilitating several surgical courses including the Anatomy of Complications Workshop and for the Care of the Critically Ill Surgical Patient through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. In his free time Sean enjoys cycling and hiking. He also loves to travel and explore new locations, especially near the beach.
