Biography

One of Dr Tim Chang’s major interests is developing and improving minimally invasive surgery techniques for all aspects of gynaecological surgery and fertility. He is keen to advance knowledge and expertise in these areas to improve his patients’ chances of successful treatment. Tim is an advocate of evidence based medicine and tailoring that to the individual patient’s needs and expectations, providing patient focused care.

Experience & Qualifications

Tim studied medicine at The University of Sydney and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Gynaecologists. He trained at various facilities including Liverpool Hospital, Gosford Hospital, Westmead Hospital and Royal North Shore Hospital.

He is a Fertility Specialist at Genea Liverpool and is also a Gynaecologist and Endoscopic Surgeon who has worked in private practice in the Campbelltown area for more than 10 years. His practice is located in Campbelltown exclusively to serve the patients of the area.

Tim has visiting rights at Macarthur Health Services, Liverpool Public hospital  and Campbelltown Private Hospital. As a Visiting Medical Officer and Gynaecologist, Tim performs gynaecological surgery including advanced laparoscopic surgery for severe endometriosis and hysteroscopic surgery for all aspects of infertility as well as supervising registrars.

One of Tim's professional goals is to teach and pass on his skills to the next generation of clinicians. He has extensive endoscopic/laparoscopic experience having completed advanced courses, and been a faculty member of many endoscopy workshops and currently runs laparoscopic workshops to teach other Gynaecologists minimal invasive surgery. He is currently director of Campbelltown/Liverpool AGES fellowship training program. He regularly presents at national and local conferences and has been the lead author of several papers published in peer-reviewed publications.

Tim is a member of the Australian Gynaecological Endoscopy Society, American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and Australian Medical Association.
