Experience & Qualifications
Tween graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1994 and trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Canberra and Sydney. She obtained her specialist qualification from The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2004 and became an accredited Fertility Specialist with Genea (then Sydney IVF) a year later.
Tween has a Master of Reproductive Medicine and is also an experienced laparoscopic surgeon, having trained under Dr Geoffrey Reid as his laparoscopic fellow.
The management of endometriosis, recurrent miscarriages and infertility treatment are Tween’s main interests. For many years, she worked in the Foetal Medicine Unit at The Canberra Hospital looking after high risk pregnancies, therefore she is experience in management of genetic conditions and application of pre-implantation genetic diagnosis. In 2013, she moved away from obstetrics in order to focus on infertility and gynaecology. Tween is a Visiting Medical Officer at John James Calvary Hospital and National Capital Private Hospital.
