Biography

Dr Simon Nothman is a distinguished Fertility Specialist, Women’s Health Specialist, and Medical Educator with a profound commitment to patient-centred care. Simon has established himself as a compassionate advocate for his patients, integrating a holistic approach that encompasses a comprehensive understanding of their biopsychosocial needs alongside conventional medical therapies.

 

Beginning his medical journey with an Honours Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Sydney, Simon's early career showcased his leadership and academic excellence. From there he continued to Israel, where he pursued specialty training in Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and Fertility Medicine and sub-specialty Fellowship in reproductive medicine, and worked in Israel as a specialist and subspecialist for 5 years. Throughout his tenure, he honed his skills in infertility management and advanced reproductive technologies, and has particular interests in polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), fertility preservation, and male infertility.


Dr. Nothman is always learning, recently completing a Master of Public Health and Master of Health Leadership and Management degrees from the University of New South Wales.

 

Simon's contributions extend beyond clinical practice, and he has played a pivotal role in medical education and mentorship. Previously as the Director of Women’s Health Education at Technion American Medical School he fostered an environment of active learning and mentorship. His dedication as a clinical teacher, helping develop the next generation of doctors, has earned him numerous awards and accolades. Simon has recently commenced as a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, further reflecting his commitment to excellence in women's health and reproductive medicine.

 

With a profound understanding of the emotional and physical aspects of his patients' journeys, Dr Nothman ensures that each individual receives personalised care and support every step of the way.
