Biography
Becky is thrilled to be joining the team at Genea to offer patients a comprehensive and compassionate approach to their reproductive care. She understands how daunting embarking on a fertility journey can be and aims to put her patients at ease by giving them clear, evidence-based information to empower them to make informed decisions. She also understands the need for patients to feel heard on their journey and prides herself on taking the time to make this happen.
Originally hailing from the UK, Becky went to medical school at the University of Edinburgh, graduating with first class honours as well as obtaining a BMedSci in Reproductive Biology. She was awarded the Buchanan Scholarship in Obstetrics and Gynaecology recognising academic excellence in the field.
She worked as a junior medical officer in Scotland for two years before emigrating to Australia in 2013. She fell in love with Sydney and decided to pursue her speciality training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH), starting in 2016.
After completing her basic training she developed her interest in fertility and operative gynaecology by undertaking a fellowship at Westmead Fertility Centre followed by a three year fellowship in advanced laparoscopic surgery at RPAH where she developed a special interest in endometriosis. She is now an Australian Gynaecological and Endoscopy and Surgery (AGES) certified Gynaecologist and is working towards becoming an accredited robotic surgeon.
Becky consults out of Sydney CBD where she offers both fertility and general gynaecology appointments. She operates at the Mater Hospital, North Sydney and Genea Day Surgery in the City. She is also a Visiting Medical Officer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
When she’s not working you’ll be sure to find Becky in the ocean, swimming, surfing or free diving and spending time with her family.
