Biography

Dr Alex Alexander is a highly qualified fertility specialist, obstetrician and gynaecologist. Working in the field for over 20 years, Dr Alex has extensive experience in all aspects of infertility and fertility treatment, including IVF, recurrent pregnancy loss, reproductive endocrinology and laparoscopic surgery, menstrual disorders, endometriosis, fibroids and cervical dysplasia.


Being a father of three children, Alex understands the impact fertility medicine can have on people’s lives. He passionately believes in the value of continuity of care, using his expertise to expertly guide patients from the start of their fertility journey through to pregnancy and beyond. He is one of the few fertility specialists who still deliver their patients’ babies, as he loves the joy that he sees on the couples’ faces when they hold their baby for the first time. Dr Alex grew up with a large family and this has shaped his career to advocate for and improve women’s health and wellbeing.


Dr Alex has earned accolades in his field for the management of recurrent pregnancy loss and high risk pregnancies, and has lectured the next generation of doctors on clinical practice at the University of Queensland.
