Dr Sumi Saha believes strongly in the value of giving every person she works with individualised, holistic and patient-centric treatment options and care. Sumi achieved her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at Dhaka University in 2005 and an Advanced Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with RANZCOG in 2011. Specialist training at Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide sparked Sumi’s interest in infertility when she was involved in her first IVF related procedure and treatment. This experience provided the inspiration for completion of her Master of Reproductive Endocrinology at the University of NSW in 2013. In 2019, Sumi achieved a Master of Pain Management at the University of Sydney and she also gained her FRANZCOG qualification.

During her training, she gained clinical experience at a number of tertiary hospitals in New South Wales, South Australia, Queensland and the ACT. Sumi particularly valued the time she spent working closely with the Genea Newcastle team while at John Hunter Hospital. She also secured a highly competitive position as a Laparoscopic Fellow at the Gold Coast University Hospital which involved an intensive one-year program to her skills in complex gynaecological surgery.

Sumi joined the Specialist Services Medical Group in early 2020. Sumi's work has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals, and she regularly presents her research at national and international medical forums.
