Notice: My Health Record pathology report upload

From 1 July 2026, healthcare providers are required to upload pathology reports to My Health Record (MHR) by default, so that patients and their treating clinicians can access results through the national digital health record system.

Genea has been granted an extension of time to comply with this requirement. Our ability to upload reports is dependent on third-party clinical software becoming compliant with My Health Record, and we are actively working with our software providers to progress this.

Until that time, Genea will not be uploading pathology reports to My Health Record.

For general questions about My Health Record, including how to manage your record or access settings, you can contact the My Health Record helpline on 1800 723 471 or visit www.myhealthrecord.gov.au.
