Biography
An experienced obstetrician and gynaecologist working in the field since 2006, Dr Aseel Alkiaat brings deep expertise in high-risk pregnancy alongside her special interests in general fertility, secondary infertility, PMOS (previously known as PCOS), endometriosis, egg freezing and fertility preservation.
Dr Alkiaat is passionate about women's health and education, and enjoys supporting women through different stages of their lives. She offers comprehensive care throughout pregnancy, from the first assessment through to delivery.

Approach to care
Dr Alkiaat's approach to care is friendly and unhurried, with plenty of time given for patients to ask questions or voice any concerns. Her background caring for high risk pregnancy patients at King Edward Memorial Hospital, one of the centres best known for this area of care, has shaped the thorough and attentive approach she brings to every patient, whether their pregnancy is straightforward or complex.

Experience and qualifications
Dr Alkiaat has worked as an obstetrician and gynaecologist since 2006, completing her training at King Edward Memorial Hospital. In 2019, she received her Master's in Reproduction and Endocrinology from the University of New South Wales.
She has held roles across many Perth hospitals throughout her career, including Osborne Park and Joondalup, as well as several rural hospitals. Dr Alkiaat currently serves as Head of Service, Maternity Unit at Bentley Health Service, and practises as a private obstetrician at St John of God Murdoch, delivering full comprehensive medical care throughout pregnancy.
She has held roles across many Perth hospitals throughout her career, including Osborne Park and Joondalup, as well as several rural hospitals. Dr Alkiaat served as Head of Service, Maternity Unit at Bentley Health Service for six years, from 2013 to 2019. She now practises as a private fertility specialist and obstetrician with Genea and at St John of God Murdoch, delivering full comprehensive medical care throughout pregnancy.
She has recently taken up the faculty position of Adjunct Clinical Senior Lecturer at Curtin Medical School.
