Experience and qualifications

Dr Barton is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) with over 20 years of experience, having obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Western Australia in 1994.

Following graduation, she undertook specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at King Edward Memorial Hospital, where she began her career in 1997 and where she remains a part-time consultant today. During the final stage of her training in 2002, she worked alongside Dr Simon Turner at Genea Perth, an experience that further honed her skills and deepened her knowledge in fertility medicine.

Dr Barton completed her specialist training in 2003 and went on to serve as a Staff Specialist at King Edward Memorial Hospital before joining Hollywood Fertility Centre in 2006. She is now the Clinical Director of Genea Fertility in Perth, and has received numerous accolades throughout her career for her contributions to the field of gynaecology.
