Yes, you will need a referral from your GP to book a consultation with one of our fertility specialists. The referral should be addressed to Embrace Fertility and/or your fertility specialist, and should include both your and your partner's names if applicable.

During your initial consultation, your specialist will gather all relevant information regarding your circumstances, medical conditions, previous fertility test results, menstruation patterns, timing of intercourse and any history of pregnancy. Your specialist may recommend further tests and will discuss potential treatment options and next steps. Partners are encouraged to attend this appointment.

Based on November 2025 data, Genea clinics achieved a 51.4% birth rate per complete egg retrieval cycle for patients under 35 years (compared to the national average of 46.4%), and 25.9% for those aged 35 to 42 years (compared to the national average of 23.6%).

Embrace Fertility supports a number of payment options. We provide access to Medicare and private health care rebates where applicable, and can also help approved applicants access superannuation through Access My Super and SuperCare.

From the 1st of July 2026 the South Australia Government has commenced a Fertility Treatment Rebate Scheme and as an accredited SA fertility provider Embrace Fertility can assist patients with determining eligibility.
